Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN coverage in Lexington, NC. The role supports respiratory therapy services across the hospital, providing therapies, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety and quality of care.

RRT with NC licensure and timely BLS, PALS/NRP, ACLS within 90 days are required. This position is per diem, with shift variability and a comprehensive benefits framework outlined by Advocate Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two- or four-year program for respiratory care or NBRC registry requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and NC license required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS and NRP within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Delivers respiratory therapies following standard care and department policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Reports routine clinical procedures to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring for patient safety and care appropriateness.
• Maintains professional knowledge and participates in quality improvement to enhance service.
• Delivers age-appropriate care in line with Age-Specific guidelines.
