Job summary

Advocate Health in Lincoln, NC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift with 12-hour days and a sign-on bonus. The role includes managing oxygen delivery, ventilators, and patient care across care areas. 36 hours per week with a pay range of $30.70–$46.05 per hour.

Required NBRC-RRT, current state license, and BLS; Associate’s degree required, BSRT preferred. Previous CC experience preferred for some sites; new grads with RRT are eligible in other areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required; BA/BS or higher preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC; currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist; BLS for healthcare providers required; advanced certification per facility.
• For Free-Standing Emergency Department: 2 years critical care experience required or a bachelor’s or higher in Respiratory Therapy with 1-year CC experience; other areas accept new grads with RRT credentials.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in various modes of oxygen delivery and equipment; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers and monitors therapeutic procedures; performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy.
• Operates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; understands critical care duties and therapy effects.
• Evaluates current therapies independently; makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and results; communicates with the healthcare team.
