The ideal candidate will hold an AMA-approved Respiratory Care education, state licensure, NBRC registration or a plan to obtain it within 2 years, and BLS certification; ACLS/NALS

Competenze

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Registered by the NBRC or must obtain NBRC registration within 2 years of hire.

Mansioni

• Interacts with co-workers and staff per Jefferson values.
• Administers physician-prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, meds, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Evaluates respiratory care needs and recommends based on department protocols to improve outcomes.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation including assessment, rounds, weaning, airway care, and testing.
• Collects sputum, blood, and breath samples for diagnosis and measures lung capacity.
• Provides diagnostic results and treatment suggestions based on analysis.
• Communicates with health care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensures smooth operation of PFT and ABG lab or other duties assigned by supervisor.
