Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, following physician orders. The role includes consulting on therapy effectiveness and serving as a resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Requirements include graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS preferred for acute care settings; PALS may be required in ER.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state.
• RRT credential NBRC required; PALS for ER.
• ACLS preferred education.
• Experience in critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
