Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist - Registered for a full-time, 12-hour night shift. The role encompasses polysomnography, patient care, documentation, and emergency response in alignment with AASM standards.

Responsibilities include patient prep, testing, scoring, and collaboration with the sleep center team to ensure quality data and safe practice. Education in polysomnography and RPSGT certification are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in polysomnography or a recognized polysomnography program (≥1 year).
• Certification as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
• Two years of sleep center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and calibrates testing equipment and patient for testing; documents baseline values and sleep data.
• Scores sleep stages and clinical events; generates accurate reports per guidelines.
• Communicates with health care team and supports cross-functional collaboration.
• Assists in data collection and regulatory compliance to achieve standards.
• Coordinates patient/family education and outreach.
