Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist - Registered to provide comprehensive sleep disorder evaluation and treatment. You will perform polysomnography, order and interpret studies, educate patients, and ensure high-quality patient care on a 12-hour night shift.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with the sleep center team to uphold AASM standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis in polysomnography.
• Alternative Polysomnography program (not less than 1 year) with equivalent experience may be considered.
• Certification as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a full-service sleep center preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• BLS - Healthcare Provider
• ACLS preferred
• Proficiency in polysomnographic and electroencephalography

Responsibilities

• Prepares & calibrates testing equipment and patient for testing.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events per guidelines.
• Documents pre-testing, testing, and post-procedure data accurately.
• Ensures patient safety and responds to emergencies.
• Collaborates with health-care team to optimize patient experience.
