Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a full-time night-shift role. You will perform comprehensive sleep studies, score data, and educate patients as part of a collaborative sleep medicine team.

Responsibilities include applying electrodes, conducting CPAP/BiPAP titrations and MSST studies, monitoring patients, documenting in the EMR, and contributing to quality improvement and professional development.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards.
• Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies, including CPAP/BiPAP titration studies, split-night studies, and MSLT.
• Monitor patients throughout studies and respond to sleep-related events and emergencies.
• Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports in accordance with AASM guidelines.
• Educate patients on sleep disorders, PAP therapy, and equipment usage.
• Ensure equipment functionality and infection prevention protocols.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and patient interactions within the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
