Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a full-time night shift in Bolivar, MO. You will perform comprehensive sleep studies, analyze data, and support patients throughout their diagnostic and therapeutic journey while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities include preparing sleep study equipment, applying sensors, overnight studies, scoring, reporting, and educating patients on treatment options.

Qualifications

BLS certification within 3 months of hire is required.
Sleep technologist role involves polysomnographic testing and report generation.
Experience with sleep study scoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment.
Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards.
Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies including CPAP/BiPAP titration, split-night studies, and MSLT.
Monitor patients and respond to events and emergencies.
Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports per AASM guidelines.
Educate patients on sleep disorders, PAP therapy, and equipment usage.
Document procedures and observations in the EMR.
Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
