Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a ROW Specialist to establish and maintain positive relationships with landowners and agencies, negotiate rights-of-way, and ensure compliance with existing agreements. The role may require travel up to 10% and preferred locations include La Palma, CA and other major cities.

The position focuses on protecting assets, interpreting and enforcing easements, and coordinating with field teams, legal, and management to support project work and emergency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related pipeline or ROW experience required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains positive stakeholder relationships and resolves disputes to avoid legal action and media attention.
• Manages encroachments near company assets to protect them and preserve rights.
• Interprets agreements and easements, enforces restrictions or rights, grants variances, and coordinates with field personnel, Law, and Management on executed agreements.
• Supports project work by negotiating and securing pipeline rights-of-way, surface leases, easements, permits, and related agreements.
• Serves as a contact for Community Relations, compensation, and claims handling within the Incident Command Structure for Emergency Response efforts.
• Negotiates and issues damage payments with stakeholders.
• Develops Public Awareness information, policies, plans, and programs, and supports Public Engagement events.
