Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Right of Way Director to lead the ROW team in the Northeast U.S. The role oversees strategy, budgeting, staffing, and project delivery while driving client relationships and business development.

You will supervise senior-level professionals, coordinate cross-functional teams, meet proposals and budgets, and ensure high-quality work aligned with firm goals. Travel may be required, and a professional real estate license is expected or obtainable within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent ROW experience.
• 15+ years in land/right of way, title research or related.
• 5+ years ROW supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong ROW knowledge: management, acquisition, permitting, budgeting.
• Experience managing financial, marketing, HR, and operations in an engineering dept.
• MS Office skills; familiarity with databases.
• Valid driver's license; multilingual a plus.
• Real estate license or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ROW department including strategy, budgeting, staff, and deliverables.
• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and establish budgets.
• Oversee project managers and coordinate with internal departments.
• Ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule; monitor costs.
• Develop marketing presentations and pursue new business.
• Build client relationships and secure repeat business.
