Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in the Solid Waste Industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route.
• Operate packing mechanism and levers/handles to activate loading mechanisms.
• Clean waste from packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste and respond accordingly.
• Maintain safe and productive work environment and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma

1-3 years of experience

Solid Waste Industry experience preferred
