Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Residential Helper for the Waste Industry in Monroe, NC. The helper supports refuse truck drivers on routes, assists with loading, and helps ensure safe, courteous service to residents.

Responsibilities include lifting and hauling waste, backing up trucks with guidance, and maintaining clean work areas while following OSHA and company safety policies. No CDL required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist refuse truck driver on pickups and routes, loading waste manually or with toters.
• Provide courteous service and maintain a positive attitude toward customers and community.
• Help ensure proper pickup of garbage and recyclables, may require back-door access.
• Answer resident questions and refer issues to Customer Service or government offices as needed.
• Comply with ANSI, OSHA and Waste Pro safety policies and Absolute Guidelines.
• Assist driver with backing up the truck and directing movement from the ground.
• Help clean the area behind the compacting mechanism and wash down the truck when needed.
• Report safety or service issues promptly to driver and supervisor.
• Perform miscellaneous duties to support daily operations and clean-up.
