Job summary

Meridian Waste is seeking a Residential Driver in Sanford, NC to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services for customers. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, ensure safety standards are met, and complete vehicle condition reports daily.

Requirements include a Class B CDL with air brakes, at least two years of heavy-truck experience, and strong customer service skills. The role supports the Operations team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading and writing skills.
• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper working order.
• Safely operate truck along designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste and clean up spills following safety standards.
