Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Support Route Driver to backfill open routes and keep daily delivery operations running smoothly. You'll cover routes as needed, maintain safety and service standards, and work with freight from customers.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel May be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
