Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. in Collinsville, IL, is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety and service standards.

The position offers Mon-Fri shifts, 7:30AM start, 10-15 hours overtime weekly, OT on weekends as needed, and a starting wage of $20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience, with the route moving to St. Louis, MO in September 2026.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn.
• Possess good customer service and can work independently.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Travel May be required
• Perform other related duties as assigned
