Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

The position includes 10-15 hours of overtime weekly, potential weekend OT, and a starting wage of $20.00-$24.00 per hour based on experience. Must be 21+, hold a valid license, and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck to maximize space and minimize damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain deliveries.
• Verify contents of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
