Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open or unassigned routes to support daily delivery operations.

This role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards. The position offers a starting wage of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities including 10-15 hours of overtime per week, weekend OT as needed, and paid overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
