Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Indiana is seeking a Route Supervisor to oversee a team of drivers, ensuring safe, reliable service for customers. You will manage daily routes, coach staff, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to read maps and work independently. You will also handle investigations of incidents, training, scheduling, and coverage during absences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; GED preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card required.
• Ability to read maps and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor and enforce quality and safety standards and ensure compliance goals are met.
• Run routes as necessary (absences, vacations, vehicle breakdowns).
• Monitor and track employee attendance and documentation.
• Perform driver observations and vehicle inspections.
• Plan, distribute, monitor, and follow-up on daily route assignments.
• Conduct investigations for accidents, injuries, and property damage claims.
• Fill in during the absence of other supervisors/office employees or drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
