Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Route Service Technician (Box Truck Driver) in Little Rock, AR. You will service accounts, operate a 26 ft straight truck, and comply with DOT/state regulations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include planning daily routes, loading supplies, handling paperwork, and performing pre/post-trip inspections. CDL-B is preferred; MEC required. Training provided and benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two+ years of customer service experience; prior route management is a plus.
• Completion of accredited driving school or one+ years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class B preferred but not required.
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC).
• Must read maps and demonstrate good computer skills.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport waste safely according to regulations.
• Plan daily schedules by review of manifests and route sheets.
• Prepare and load trucks with supplies for daily service.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged for transport.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and communicate issues to supervision.
