Job summary

Silver Eagle Beverages in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Route Sales Representative to pre-sell and merchandise products at off-premise accounts along a designated route.

Responsibilities include taking inventory, setting up displays, restocking, completing administrative duties, driving to customer sites, complying with TABC guidelines, and handling lifting and pallet moves. A valid Texas CDL is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of directly related sales/merchandising experience preferred
• Grocery/convenience store or consumer products experience a strong plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must have a cell phone with data capability for work
• Able to obtain and maintain Class A-CDL
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Ability to operate a two- or four-wheel dolly
• Certified in pallet/straddle jack and lift gate operation
• Must handle alcohol and work within TABC Guidelines
• Able to lift up to 38 lbs and maneuver heavier loads

Responsibilities

• Take inventory at assigned accounts and recommend product needs to maintain stock
• Sell displays, new products, draught placements, shelf facings, POS and price points
• Follow Sales and Merchandising Standards to merchandise products and restock to avoid out-of-stock
• Complete administrative duties (route book entries, timely syncing, other duties)
• Notify Area Sales Manager of changes in retail trade and route scheduling
• Be flexible with hours, routes, equipment, and SKU counts
• Aim to meet account objectives by closing sales and improving displays and pricing
• Communicate with Sales team to ensure closure and maintain customer relations
• Follow Anheuser Busch equity agreement and supplier contract policies
• Develop knowledge of Silver Eagle suppliers and products
• Merchandise ice bins, coolers, shelves and displays where applicable
• Collect payments per policies and ensure customer satisfaction
• May assist at events with equipment setup and execution
