Job summary

Flowers Foods is seeking a Route Sales Representative to manage ordering, sales, and delivery of freshly baked products. The role requires early starts around 3:00am and involves building strong customer relationships, expanding shelf space, and ensuring proper product rotation to maximize sales and shelf life.

Qualifications

• Delivery driver experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have had a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must have a valid state driver's license and documented safe driving record.
• Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
• Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV.
• Must execute the best practices of RSR training (after 4-week company paid training).
• Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Order, sell, and deliver fresh baked products.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance (uniform where required).
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Drivers will check delivery vehicle daily and keep accurate records.
• Report maintenance issues and fill daily driver logs, time logs, and hours of service.
• Work varying days and early morning start times (around 3:00am).
• Days off are Wednesday and Sunday.
• Increase sales by expanding shelf space and in-store promotions.
• Ensure product shelf life by proper rotation.
• Use data and marketing plans to grow customer base and drive satisfaction.
• Service accounts during customer service windows and may work non-traditional hours.
