Job summary

Bernatello's Foods is seeking a full-time delivery, merchandising, and service associate in Illinois. You will drive, stock, and deliver products, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure on-time deliveries while representing the brand professionally.

You should have a valid CDL with air brake certification and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Sales experience is preferred and a strong team player with excellent time management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedural inventory guidelines and maintain accurate inventory in truck and depot.
• Maintain proper warehouse inventory levels to ensure freshness and minimal out-of-stocks.
• Plan, pick, and load trucks efficiently for next-day deliveries.
• Adhere to start-of-day times to meet receiving and delivery deadlines.
• Represent the company positively when dealing with receivers, managers and customers.
• Merchandise accounts with 100% execution of “Pizza 101.”
• Invoice customers and complete daily paperwork as required.
• Follow Fleet Loss Policy and complete daily procedures to ensure DOT compliance.
• Perform sales, delivery, and merchandising at accounts with full responsibility for some accounts.
• Keep truck, warehouse, and back-room freezer clean and organized.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow procedural inventory guidelines, maintaining an accurate inventory in truck and depot.
• Maintain proper warehouse inventory levels, ensuring fresh product and limited out‑of‑stocks.
• Plan, pick, and load truck accurately and efficiently for next day’s deliveries.
• Abide by start‑of‑day times as outlined by the District Manager to ensure receiving times are met and deliveries are completed.
• Always represent the company in a positive manner when dealing with receivers, frozen managers, owners, customers, etc.
• Merchandise accounts as defined with 100% execution of “Pizza 101.”
• Accurately invoice all customers and complete daily paperwork as required.
• Adhere to Fleet Loss Policy.
• Complete daily procedural guidelines to maintain 100% DOT compliance (pre‑trip inspection, log book, post‑trip, etc.).
• Complete sales, delivery, and merchandising functions at accounts as defined by the District Manager, with 100% responsibility for some accounts.
• Maintain organizational skills, cleanliness, and accuracy; keep truck, warehouse, and back‑room freezer organized and clean at all times; defrost truck regularly as defined by the District Manager.
