Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. seeks a dispatcher to communicate with drivers, respond to service orders, schedule routes, and log daily routing data in our office environment.

You will balance cost and speed, assign tickets, resolve issues, and work with Customer Service and Supervisors to ensure timely service.

A high school diploma, at least 6 months logistics experience, and strong communication skills are required; experience in waste or transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of related work experience.
• Experience in waste, transportation, or logistics preferred.
• Customer service experience in a call center preferred.
• Good telephone and 2-way radio skills; courteous communication.
• Computer proficiency - MS Office and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contact between drivers and home base, dispatching drivers to calls as they come in.
• Assign routes and service tickets to drivers throughout the day and for the next day.
• Plan and monitor daily route assignments for residential, roll-off and commercial drivers.
• Troubleshoot delivery/pick-up problems and communicate with drivers and customers.
• Communicate route information to Customer Service and Sales when needed.
• Enter data into systems and close work orders from previous day routes.
