Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a route supervisor to manage daily activities and performance of route drivers. You will train and coach staff, ensure safety standards, and monitor compliance. You may run routes to cover absences and support operations as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior management experience, a valid Class B CDL, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and strong maps/navigation skills. This role demands flexibility, travel between offices, and readiness for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience preferred.
• 2+ years of truck driving experience is a plus.
• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor and enforce quality and safety standards and ensure compliance goals are met or exceeded.
• Run routes as necessary (absences, vacations, vehicle breakdowns).
• Monitor attendance and documentation related to performance.
• Perform and monitor driver observations and vehicle inspections.
• Plan and distribute daily route assignments to service customers per standards.
• Conduct investigations for accidents, injuries, and property damage claims.
• Fill in during absence of other supervisors/office staff or drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
