Job summary

Gunderson Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a Route Manager to oversee day-to-day route operations and lead a team of Non-CDL drivers. You will drive safety, optimize routes, coach a frontline team, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring service excellence.

The role involves hands-on field work, ongoing performance evaluation, and collaboration with operations to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in route operations, logistics, delivery, or field service.
• Strong, customer-focused leadership and clear communication.
• Valid driver''s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead with safety — run briefings, training, and hold the team to policy every day.
• Manage and develop a team of Non-CDL drivers: onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance.
• Ride along regularly to evaluate performance and remove barriers to success.
• Step in hands-on when needed to keep routes running and service smooth.
• Keep routing and schedules current, and improve route sequencing for efficiency.
• Oversee truck maintenance and delivery/pick-up logistics.
• Build strong customer relationships — drive retention, secure renewals, and spot growth opportunities.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve service issues.
