Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Route Manager to lead a team of supervisors and drivers, ensuring safe, reliable waste collection services. You will hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff, plan daily routes, and enforce quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and productivity with responsibilities that include dispatching, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and route optimization skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Class B CDL required.
• DOT Medical Card required or able to obtain.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• No DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to travel between offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of route supervisors and drivers.
• Manage safety, customer service, and productivity standards.
• Dispatch daily assignments and monitor workloads.
• Perform performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain daily route sheets and document routes for new customers.
• Monitor driver time, attendance, and overtime controls.
