Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Helper to assist drivers in completing customer routes with a strong emphasis on safety and service.

The role involves lifting containers, operating hoists, and maintaining clean, safe work practices on site and on route. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and be capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly while working in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential or commercial containers into the truck, manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers that are staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into the truck hopper.
• Places serviced bins back in their original spots with covers on.
• Assists driver with backing maneuvers while on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear load truck in varying weather conditions.
• Lifts 50 pounds constantly and maintains stamina to perform duties.
• Maintains a safe working environment and works in a fast-paced industry.
• Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities.
