Casella-Waste-Systems, Inc. is seeking a Helper to assist drivers in completing customer routes with a strong emphasis on safety and service.

The role involves loading and unloading containers, operating a hoisting device, and ensuring containers are returned to their original locations in an upright position. The successful candidate will lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, work in varying weather conditions, and demonstrate excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs constantly and work in varied weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a team mindset.
• Pre-employment testing, including a drug screen, is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload residential and/or commercial containers into the truck, manually or mechanically.
• Maneuver containers staged curbside, dockside, or require pullout to complete service.
• Operate hoisting device to lift and empty bins into the truck hopper.
• Return serviced bins to their original location with covers secured.
• Assist driver with backing maneuvers and on-route tasks.
• Load trash and recycling into rear-load trucks in varying weather conditions.
• Maintain a safe, high-paced work environment and professional communication with customers and colleagues.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities to support company goals.
