Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Helper to assist drivers in completing customer routes with a focus on exceptional customer service and adherence to health and safety protocols.

The role involves loading and unloading containers, operating hoists, and assisting with backing maneuvers while maintaining a safe, fast-paced work environment. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and the candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into the truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers to complete service at curbside, dockside, carryout, or pullout locations.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins into the truck hopper.
• Ensures bins are returned to their original positions with covers on the containers.
• Assists driver with backing maneuvers and route execution.
• Works in fluctuating weather conditions and maintains safety.
