Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Route Service & Sales Representative in Louisville, KY. You will maintain and grow a route servicing fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, e-light systems, and related protection equipment, inspecting, servicing, repairing, and installing per safety standards.

You will quote, sell, and repair on-site, upsell to current customers, and pursue new accounts while meeting fire-code compliance. A valid driver's license and excellent customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or equivalency.
• A valid motor vehicle license is required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in restricted areas and adept at maneuvering ladders.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire protection equipment and related systems.
• Inspect, service, repair, and install suppression product lines on-site.
• Quote, sell, and repair on-site; upsell to meet compliance with fire code regulations.
• Call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services; cross-sell where appropriate.
