Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician in Louisville, KY, to perform service and maintenance on fire extinguishers at a fixed location with no travel. Responsibilities include recharging, testing, completing maintenance reports, and maintaining shop equipment.

You will use hand tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and adhere to PPE requirements. Qualifying candidates have 1 year of hydrotesting experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a drug test and licensing tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with high‑pressure hydrotesting systems and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required service and maintenance on fire extinguishers, including recharging and testing.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Operate hand tools and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Complete reports and paperwork for extinguisher service and maintenance records.
• Attend Johnson Controls meetings and contribute to business growth.
