Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Production Assistant (Truck Driver) to complete driving routes for pickup and drop-off of donations at the warehouse, assigned boxes, and donor homes in Portland, ME.

You will be responsible for safety, daily vehicle inspections, keeping records, route planning, and presenting a professional image as a personal representative of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must lift 100 lbs.
• Able to read maps and plan routes.
• Must use iPad with GPS and truck inspection report.
• DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation and report accidents.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep truck cab and box clean and organized.
• Plan and execute daily pickup routes.
• Load/unload goods and supervise Truck Helper.
• Maintain records (manifests, trip logs).
• Represent The Salvation Army professionally to donors.
• Follow the Manual for Production Assistants.
