Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a delivery driver for daily routes with frequent stops. Responsibilities include loading and unloading, handling pallets, and ensuring accurate deliveries with customer signatures. You may assist with loading and palletizing and must follow DOT and Sysco safety inspections.

The role requires at least a High School diploma or GED and prefer one year of route delivery experience. CDL preferred; potential cross-dock operations and night shift may apply.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent required.
• One-year route delivery experience or related driving a straight truck preferred.
• CDL preferred; CDL Holders may be designated as CDL driver per DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or with a hand cart, and place in customer storage areas.
• Frequently lift up to 75 pounds; stack and unstack pallets and use hand cart.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures.
• Address invoice discrepancies and communicate errors/returns to management.
• Handle shorts and customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and Sysco policies.
