Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will load and deliver clean garments, manage returns, and ensure timely, accurate service across routes.

You will interact with customers, resolve issues, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance while following all safety policies. This role supports collaboration across service, production, and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work independently yet be team-oriented.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfortable using and learning new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs and staying on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes and manage returns.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently with effective problem solving.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with service and management teams on route support and new account installations.
