Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60) to perform maintenance on helicopters, excluding system repairs per manuals. You will remove/install major subsystems, service and lubricate, and prepare aircraft for inspections.

The role requires high school diploma, military training preferred, 3 years aviation maintenance, 2 years rotary wing, and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Must provide own tools and be able to work in Helena, MT with safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Military technical training desired; education level certification required.
• A&P license valid and up-to-date (optional).
• Minimum 3 years aviation maintenance experience; 2 years rotary wing; 2 years on the MDS within last 6 years.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must provide own tools; toolbox requirements provided upon selection.
• Must obtain and maintain a NACI Public Trust security clearance; US citizenship required for credentials.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems on the assigned MDS.
• Familiar with aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, hydraulic press, and MAC.
• Ability to lead teams through complex tasks and document logs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Remove/install engine, rotor, gearboxes and subsystems as directed.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Perform scheduled inspections and assist in special inspections.
• Lead teams on complex maintenance tasks when required.
