Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot (Rotor Wing PIC) to deliver rapid emergency transport with a focus on safety and teamwork. You will operate under FAA rules, plan flights, and coordinate with medical staff for every mission.

The role offers a competitive base salary ($100,000-$172,000), a 7x7 schedule, PTO, 401k matching, and a $12,000 sign-on bonus, with housing provided. Base at Wadesboro Air Base, North Carolina, and a commitment to patient care and community service.

Qualifications

• Commercial pilot cert with IFR or ATP and appropriate ratings.
• Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours of total helicopter flight time.
• 100 hours cross-country flight – 25 hours at night.
• 75 instrument hours (actual or simulated).
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, accounting for weather, weight/balance, and fuel.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency calls, maintaining readiness.
• Keeps accurate flight and maintenance logs per FAA and company requirements.
• Represents the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
