Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport for patients. You will ensure safety of the medical team and patients during every flight, blending aviation skill with mission protocols.

Based at Wadesboro, NC, with a 42-hour week, you’ll earn a base salary of $100,000–$172,000 and a $12,000 sign-on bonus, plus PTO, 401k matching, and housing options.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating and appropriate category/class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total helicopter time; cross-country, night, and instrument experience.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, considering weather, weight, balance, and fuel.
• collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless missions.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts and maintains readiness.
• Maintains flight and maintenance logs per company and FAA requirements.
• Represents the company professionally with patients and the public.
