Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot based at Wadesboro Air Base, NC. The role involves operating rotor-wing aircraft under FAA regulations, planning flights, and coordinating with medical teams to ensure rapid, safe patient transport.

The ideal candidate holds FAA Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating or ATP, and a current FAA medical certificate, plus extensive helicopter flight experience. A 7x7 schedule, housing, and a $12,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires FAA Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating or ATP, plus appropriate category and class ratings.
• Must hold a current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate or higher.
• Total flight time: helicopter 2,500 hours; 100 hours cross-country incl. 25 night; 75 instrument hours; 100 unaided night hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft per FAA regs, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plan and execute flights considering weather, weight/balance, and fuel.
• Coordinate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission success.
• Respond to emergency callouts; maintain readiness.
• Maintain flight and maintenance logs as required by FAA and company.
• Represent the company professionally with patients and the public.
