Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, MN is hiring a Process Engineer. This role builds refinery operations knowledge and applies core engineering fundamentals. You will rotate through refinery units to gain hands-on engineering experience and career growth.

The position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and a compensation philosophy based on value created. A strong starting salary is expected with opportunities in operations engineering and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Two (2) or more years of process engineering experience preferred.
• Refinery/petrochemical experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• EH&S and Process Safety Risk Profile.
• Oil flow and high-level function of refinery process units.
• Basic refinery economics.
• Analyze and identify EH&S and business improvement opportunities.
• Apply engineering fundamentals to unit health monitoring.
• Support production teams to resolve problems within timelines.
• Understand and interact with refinery support groups.
• Provide technical support for turnaround activities.
• Troubleshoot process-related problems using root cause analysis.
• Drive innovation and value through Principled Based Management.
