Job summary

Flint Hills Resources, a Koch company, is seeking a highly experienced Process Engineer to advance environmental/health/safety stewardship by designing innovative solutions and improving refinery processes at our Rosemount site.

You will lead advanced experiments, troubleshoot production, and support turnaround and PSM activities while partnering with teams across the site to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years in refinery or chemical processing industry.
• Experience with common industrial process equipment.
• Experience with process control fundamentals.
• Project support experience including process design, PD, P&ID, commissioning.
• Experience with simulation software and hydraulic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver experiments and process optimizations to improve site competitiveness.
• Troubleshoot production processes using Root Cause Analysis.
• Build collaborative relationships across site and business.
• Participate in site's PSM execution (MOC, PSSR, PSI, PHA, MI).
• Provide process engineering support to plant operations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
• Contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commit to ongoing learning and development of new skills.
