Warren CAT in Midland, TX seeks an Rotational Engine Shop Technician II to deliver high-quality engine repairs and service in a shop setting. The role involves a rotating schedule with 14 days on and 7 days off, with travel to the assigned work location for the 14-day stint.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of diesel/automotive experience, CAT product knowledge, and the ability to perform complex repairs while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of diesel/automotive technician/mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times; re-do metrics.
• Perform work in the shop setting.
• Work safely and follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases accurately.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules.
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Understand and apply CAT reusability guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; provide repair recommendations and perform major engine repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Apply failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis.
• Accurate and timely service reports and timecards daily.
• Perform engine and component rebuilds with limited supervision.
