Job summary

Warren CAT seeks an Engine Shop Technician II to perform high-quality repair service on equipment, ensuring value and timely delivery for customers in Midland, TX. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in paperwork, and thorough inspection of components.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of diesel/automotive experience and CAT product knowledge, with the ability to provide precise quotes and operate diagnostic tools. A valid driver’s license and compliance with safety policies are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of diesel/automotive technician experience.
Cat product knowledge of gas, diesel, electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to provide accurate quotes and estimate parts.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle.
Safe work practices and willingness to follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
Work safely and follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
