Job summary

Warren CAT in Odessa, TX is seeking an Engine Shop Technician II to repair and service heavy equipment, ensuring quality work and timely service.

You will complete jobs efficiently, follow WCAT safety policies, and maintain accurate paperwork. The role requires 3–5 years of diesel/automotive experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic diagnostic software proficiency, with occasional travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Associate’s degree/certificate in diesel technology, or similar mechanical discipline (preferred).
3–5 years of experience as a diesel/automotive technician/mechanic or equivalent.
Current, valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle.
Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
Ability to provide accurate quotes.
