Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking a Rotational Engine Shop Technician III to deliver high-quality repair service on equipment, with a rotating 14-on, 7-off schedule. You must travel to the assigned work location and lodge during the 14-day cycle.

The role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting engine problems, performing engine rebuilds, and completing paperwork while following WCAT safety policies. CAT product knowledge and diesel/gas engine experience are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 5–8 years diesel/automotive tech experience.
Experience with diesel/gas engines and electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems.
Ability to provide accurate job quotes.
Knowledge of safety policies and contamination/HAZMAT rules.
Experience with diagnostic software and giving repairs recommendations.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and quality standards.
Perform work in the shop setting.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform engine repairs.
Test and verify repairs.
Provide accurate service reports and timecards daily.
Perform engine/component rebuilds with limited supervision.
