Job summary

Milliken’s Dewey Plant in Inman, SC is seeking a Mechanical Technician I to ensure equipment reliability and support production goals. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing mechanical issues across manufacturing equipment in a rotating shift with on-call duties.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance, document work in CMMS, and collaborate with planning to improve job plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Technical degree or higher in Mechatronix, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar.
• Two years of mechanical/industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, on-call, and holidays.
• Ability to read control schematics, blueprints, P&ID, and equipment specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, tools, machines, and buildings.
• Analyze and solve mechanical problems and assist manufacturing personnel.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and establish PM activities.
• Assist in installation of machinery, moves and plant rearrangements.
• Follow safety standards and document work in CMMS.
