Job summary

Milliken’s Dewey Plant in Inman, SC seeks a Mechanical Technician to ensure equipment reliability by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing manufacturing machinery. The role involves rotating shifts and an on-call rotation to support production goals.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED plus 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, with strong ability to read blueprints and control schematics, and willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate or Technical degree in Mechatronix, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar.
• 2+ years of mechanical repair and troubleshooting in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience reading control schematics, electrical diagrams, and maintenance schematics.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, on-call, and holidays.
• Able to read blueprints and P&ID documents.
• Able to work at heights and in hot/cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, tools, machines, and buildings.
• Analyze and solve mechanical problems and assist manufacturing personnel on process issues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and establish new PM activities as needed.
• Involve installation of machinery, moves, and plant rearrangements.
• Follow safety standards and document all work in CMMS.
• Lead small teams on maintenance tasks and coordinate with Planning & Scheduling.
