Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Engineer II, Rotating Equipment for the Ponca City Refinery. You will be the go‑to expert ensuring critical rotating assets operate safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of energy/petrochemical experience, and a willingness to travel. Compensation ranges are disclosed and benefits are part of Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience in energy, petrochemicals, industrial, or similar industry.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and operate company vehicle.
• Ability to work extended hours and perform occasional duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Safety-focused, able to work near high‑risk equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support reliability of rotating equipment at the refinery.
• Lead design, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Assess equipment criticality and develop asset strategies.
• Monitor reliability indicators, analyze data and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Share reliability improvements across teams and communicate outcomes.
• Provide cost estimates and oversee reliability projects from conception through commissioning.
• Support turnaround activities and management of change processes.
