Job summary

Valero Port Arthur Refinery seeks a Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer to enhance reliability of rotating equipment. You will provide mechanical engineering support and drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs across the refinery.

The role requires hands-on on-site work, 5+ years in rotating equipment, and on-call availability outside standard hours. A BS in Engineering is required, with Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering required.
• 5 years rotating equipment experience required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes EH&S goals of the Company.
• Supports Maintenance Department annual goals.
• Provides support to Operations on rotating equipment issues.
• Performs root cause failure analyses on rotating equipment.
• Maintains spare parts requests and stocking levels.
• Develops refinery wide PM and PdM programs.
• Must be available to respond to refinery issues outside normal hours.
