Job summary

PBF Energy is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support for refinery rotating equipment and reliability improvements. You will guide maintenance strategies, develop PM and PdM programs, and lead root cause analyses to optimize life cycle costs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, have refinery experience, and are prepared for 24/7 on-call work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience in vibration analysis and root-cause failure analysis is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of leading machinery maintenance and shutdown work.
• Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical for cross-functional communication and mentoring.
• On-call availability for a 24/7 facility is required.
• Ability to work around industrial equipment and wear PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for rotating equipment and reliability enhancements.
• Develop, implement, and audit PM and PdM programs.
• Monitor reliability actions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Lead root cause failure analysis and incident investigations when needed.
• Support capital project development to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Develop machinery repair plans to increase mean time between repair.
