Job summary

CITGO PETROLEUM CORPORATION in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to ensure safe operation and reliability of refinery rotating equipment, applying engineering principles to solve problems during operation, maintenance, turnaround and start-ups.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering and 4+ years in refinery or petrochemical plants with rotating equipment; familiarity with SAP and MS Office; ability to manage projects with limited supervision; and TWIC and driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil engineering.
• 4+ years refinery or petrochemical plant experience with rotating equipment.
• TWIC and a valid driver's license required.
• Familiarity with SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance & operations to increase rotating equipment availability.
• Apply engineering principles to solve rotating equipment problems during operation, maintenance, and turnarounds.
• Participate in hazard and operability studies and resolve engineering action items.
• Promote reliability of rotating equipment through training and awareness.
